The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. She may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. She's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of her lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when she's born and takes that first gulp of air. And she's continuing to put on baby fat. She now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches {an English hothouse cucumber} from head to heel.

{26 weeks}
How your baby's growing:

How far along? 26 weeks, 3 days
Total weight gain/loss: Let's just say that I'm definitely showing... finally!
Sleep: Sky cried all night last night. It's like she's trying to prep us for baby. Grr.
Best moment this week: Single digits on the countdown... 95 days left til our due date.
Movement: She's rocking and rolling in there. My whole belly shakes when she has the hiccups.
Food cravings: Red velvet frozen yogurt.
Gender: Girl :)
Labor Signs: Nope, but I think I've felt some practice surges.
Belly Button in or out? Still in.
What I miss: Eggs over medium.
What I am looking forward to: Drinking a glass of the saké Ev & I brought home from Japan.
Weekly Wisdom: Enjoy every moment.
Milestones: Single digits, baby's eyes are open, and my third trimester starts on Thursday. Crazy!
