{must make this asap}

Is it bad that I peruse Etsy for projects to make myself? Hmm...

While getting my morning Etsy fix, I stumbled upon this absolutely adorable "I love you to the moon and back" wall decor. So cute, right? I cannot wait to make one. I've got the thread and felt at home, so I just need an embroidery hoop, some linen, and maybe a new set of alphabet stamps. How exciting!

If you aren't the crafty type, this precious little nursery art can be yours for only $25 from Bo Peep Baby's Etsy shop. Enjoy!

{cute mobile sustitute?}

While drooling over the million and one handcrafted things I desperately want from Etsy, I stumbled upon this precious Canary Yellow Lovey-Dovey Chandelier, $90. If our nursery was a tad bit bigger, I don't think I could resist hanging it somewhere in V's room.

What do you think- would this make a cute mobile substitute?

{diy nursery art idea}

Ok, so I'm just a little bit obsessed with Etsy. Mmhmm. I'm also a little bit in love with these adorable Memento Wall Hangings from A.E. Wilder's shop. After drolling over them all morning, I started thinking... I could totally make that. All I'd need is an embroidery hoop, a piece of burlap or linen, some letter/number stamps, ink, felt and/or buttons, a needle, and embroidery floss. I mean, easy enough, right? So there you go- my goal this week is to recreate this for one of the many empty spaces on V's nursery walls. {Her birth date will have to be added later... 10-12 more weeks. Crazy!}

Wish me luck!

If you find yourself not-so-craftily inclined, click here to purchase one for $20-35. There are a ton of cute designs, and shipping is only $2. :o)

{diy blocks}

Want a super easy tutorial on how to make these fantastical blocks? Click here.

Considering all of the card stock options available @ craft stores these days, my mind is racing with possibilities. I'm thinking this could be one of the best "Welcome, baby" gifts ever.

{nursery gliders}

You learn something new every day. Apparently, I was so active at night as a fetus that my mom had to rock me to sleep even before I was born. This discovery makes me think that we should order our glider sooner rather than later.

Since the baby's glider will be in our bedroom, we need to find a piece of furniture that doesn't look too "baby-ish."

Here are a few of my faves:

Rex Glider by Serena & Lily, $949
{via rosenberry rooms}

Rock-A-Bye Chenelle Glider, $359

Swivel Glider & Ottoman, $749 + 249:

Who knew gliders were so dang expensive? Grr. If you have any suggestions, please share. Evan is in our bedroom painting as we speak, so we'll be ready to buy the perfect glider as early as this weekend. How exciting!

{girly nursery touches}

Lately I've been looking for some girly nursery touches. You know, ever since we found out we're having a girl. Hehe. Check out these gorgeous light switch and outlet plates I just found on withTWOcats. I think I'm in love...

Please excuse me while I run to Anthropologie! :o)

{precious crib set}

Loving this All Creatures Great & Small crib bedding from Land of Nod. The quilt is pretty cute, but my fav pieces are the crib sheet and argyle bumper. Ooh, and did you know that Land of Nod sells their bedding pieces individually? Lots of baby sites I frequent warn against buying crib sets because, well, you don't really need the quilt, or the bumper... and because they're just so dang expensive. {See my post on the $369 Dwell Studio Owl set I used to be obsessed with!}

Cute, right?

{nursery idea}

How adorable would this heart-shaped photo collage be over our little munchkin's crib? Evan and I have been taking pics with my new Instax Mini like crazy people, so we probably already have enough for at least a 1/4 heart. This might be my new project. How fun. :o)

{want this crib}

And the official front-runner for Baby Sanchez's crib is... Babyletto's Two-Toned Mercer Crib. Cute, right? We love it!

It even converts into a fancy little toddler bed...

Is it too early to order the crib?! It seems like most people don't start decorating their baby's nursery until later in the pregnancy, but we are ready to go now! Is it July yet? :o)

{xo, danielle}

{we painted the nursery!}

Last night, in about two hours, Evan & I painted the nursery a most gorgeous blueish-green color, "Robin's Nest" {Benjamin Moore's environmentally-friendly Natura paint is the best!} What a difference a couple coats of paint makes. Tonight we are going to paint the ceiling, baseboards, and inside the closet "Dove White," {also BM Natura.}

Then... let the decorating begin! I'm so lucky to have a husband who expresses interest in things like which crib we are going to get, how to decorate the nursery, etc. He is, hands down, the best. Makes me want to cry, it does. :o)

Here are a couple pics we took with my favoritest Christmas present ever, the Fuji Instax Mini 7s:
