{19 weeks}

Love you, little mango...

Your Baby: Week 19

Vernix caseosa, a greasy white substance made of lanugo, oil and dead skin cells (yum) now coats baby's skin, shielding it from the amniotic fluid. (Picture yourself after a nine-month bath, and the need for protection makes sense.) You might actually get to see the vernix at birth, especially if baby is premature.

{with a mildly irritated Dexter, hehe}

  • How far along? 19 1/2 weeks
  • Total weight gain/loss: 7ish lbs, but that's after a week of terrible constipation. Fun fun.
  • Maternity clothes? Here and there.
  • Sleep: Either really well or not at all. Meh.
  • Best moment this week: Made a lot of progress on the nursery this weekend. Yay! Thankful for my very motivated baby daddy.
  • Movement: Little one is pretty active these days.
  • Food cravings: Frozen yogurt with granola, fresh fruit, and mochi from Froyo Love in San Marcos. Yummm.
  • Gender: Boy :o)
  • Labor Signs: Nope.
  • Belly Button in or out? Still in.
  • What I miss: Some of my favorite jammy pants are getting uncomfortable tight. Boo.
  • What I am looking forward to: The crib should be delivered this week, yay!
  • Weekly Wisdom: Drink more water.
  • Milestones: Found out a very special friend is expecting. So excited to share this experience with her. ♥

  • **Wait, so you're telling me our little munchkin is going to be as big as a CANTELOPE by FRIDAY?! Craziness.
