{remember this idea}

Super creative mother Amber, who spends most of her time coming up with amazing gift-giving ideas on her blog Givers Log, came up with this adorable kiddo lunchbox idea for "Talk Like a Pirate Day." I must remember to do this for our little one. How excited would you have been to open your little Care Bears or Transformer lunchbox and find these amazing little characters?! I would have felt like the coolest kid in kindergarten!

{creepy cute crochet}

Dang... I knew I should have paid more attention when my mother-in-law tried to teach me the fine art of crocheting when Evan & I visited her in January. Then I could start making the adorable little creatures in Creepy Cute Crochet. It was just so hard to see the loops in the chain. Made me want to cry! Hehe.

{gro baby diapers?}

Alright mamas, have any of you used Gro Baby cloth diapers on your little ones? After reading reviews of almost every cloth diaper option out there, I just excitedly added a Gro Baby starter kit to our registry. They seem so convenient, and they're pretty dang cute! Even still, I'd love to hear your opinions... Are they as good as they sound? Thanks in advance. :o)

{first official craving= bubble tea}

As Kylie Minogue would say, "I just can't get you out of my head... " I ♥ everything about you- the fat straws I have to drink you with, the cute little celophane lids that come affixed to the top of your cups, chewing on little orbs of tapioca with each sip of my delicious taro-flavored smoothie. Mmm. I love you, bubble tea. Do you deliver?

{babysteals}

Add to list of new favorite baby sites: www.babysteals.com!

Every day, Baby Steals offers a new, amazing baby/mommy product for 50-80% off retail.

Here's a little blurb from their website:

No, we're not stealing and reselling babies. We drop one amazing steal a day at 9am MST until it's gone, and they sell out fast. Once we're sold out, you lost out. On the weekends we give you a second chance on steals we still have, and you might get lucky and find more than one Steal a Day!

This is the place where mommies of all kinds get hooked up with the latest 'babysteal' at an unbelievable price. Our 'steals' are designed to save you serious money on products you would normally spend more money on, or things you just wouldn't normally 'splurge' on because of the cost. The prices are so good you'll want to get one for you, your sister, and your best friend. That is, unless they're hooked on BabySteals.com too. You may want to give them a call because they're probably already getting one for you!

So far, I've only "stolen" two things. My first "steal" was the most adorable little Fair Trade Bowling Buddies set from The Playful World, hand-dyed and felted by women in Kyrgyzstan. They are even cuter in person, and for $25 {regularly $65,} I LOVE them. Can't wait for the little one to meet his little Bowling Buddies. :o)

Today's steal was the Tie Chair, a size adjustable, machine washable wonder that can turn virtually any adult dining chair into a highchair. As you can imagine, all four colors sold out almost instantly. I'm so glad I jumped on it before they were all gone. *Confession- I ordered it on my iPhone while commuting to work, thanks to easy-to-use Google Checkout. At a stop light, of course!* I snagged the aqua and blue one, but now I wish I had "stolen" at least one more- maybe the pink and chocolate for the next preggo friend to pop out a little lady? Next time... ♥

The adorable color combo I "stole" for $24.99 {reg. $50}:

{daddy felt you kick last night!}

That's right baby, you finally kicked hard enough for your dad to feel you from the outside. Nice work! You should have seen his face. It lit up like a kid's face on Christmas morning. Keep 'em coming! I wonder if he will stop asking me if I'm really pregnant now?? Hehe.

{owl mobile pattern}

Loving this Sock Owl Mobile! If only I was better with a needle and thread, because this would be such a fun project to make for our little one.

Aren't the wings and the sweet little heart noses precious? ♥

{19 weeks}

Love you, little mango...

Your Baby: Week 19

Vernix caseosa, a greasy white substance made of lanugo, oil and dead skin cells (yum) now coats baby's skin, shielding it from the amniotic fluid. (Picture yourself after a nine-month bath, and the need for protection makes sense.) You might actually get to see the vernix at birth, especially if baby is premature.

{with a mildly irritated Dexter, hehe}

    Your Baby: Week 18

    {maternal america}

    To my complete surprise, a pair of Maternal America maternity jeans that I ordered from Nordstrom on a whim fits perfectly! So excited. Even the husband said "They fit you great. They don't even look like maternity jeans," which is probably the best compliment a preggo can get, right? Woohoo, a maternity brand I still feel like myself in. Had to share. :o)

    This is the pair I ordered, which comes in black and blue. Nordy's had both on sale for $31, but they're all out. Bummer, because I would have ordered more! My pre-preg size was a 27/28, and I fit perfectly in a small. What's even more exciting is that they are LONG. I'm 5'9" with long leggies, and I have to cuff the bottoms about an inch when I wear flats. Yay!

    {baby book inspiration}

    Inspired by the book "The Jolly Postman," this book of notes from Oh Hello, Friend has given me so many precious ideas for our little one's baby book. Love the little envelopes, the instant photos, the sheet music and maps, the vintage book pages... I find myself wanting to drive to Michael's immediately so I can stock up on all sorts of crafty goodies. Dang job, always getting in the way!
